Why are people against scuicide?

It's murdering yourself.

If there was a suicide aid center, that'd be just a bunch of assisted suicides, and the staff would be considered murderers. Religious people would be outraged. It's immoral to do something like that, and it would never be allowed.

People who commit suicide are often depressed. Either because they were born with depression, or they have PTSD, or their medication is causing them to have suicidal thoughts.

People who want to die often have a good reason to do so. Whether it be abuse, or an illness (mental or physical), they have good excuses. The people who hold back have someone who they don't want to hurt, so they don't kill themselves.

But anyone with suicidal thoughts or actions can be helped. If they're being abused, they have options of getting out of the environment and Depressed can get therapy, etc etc.

If someone wants to die, we should get them help to get better, not help them die.

There's so much in the world left for them.

It's more than likely that there is a better option for depressed/mentally ill people who wish to commit suicide. If we gave up on everyone who was having an emotional crisis, we wouldn't have any people in the world. Your argument about overpopulation, in addition to a couple of your other arguments seem like excuses. I hope you're alright. It's important to try to keep our loved ones and the people around us safe and happy. There are good people in the world. Give them a chance. I care about you.

Well. I'm sorry for asking this question. But as I scuicidal person I was curious. Scuicide seems like an escape to me. But even hearing the words come out of my mouth, I know it's wrong. I just can't help it. I want to kill myself. But I continue living because I don't want to make my family sad. So don't take this question the wrong way. I am just somebody who is hurting, wishing somebody would end my misery for me. I'm to scared to kill myself, but I want to die. Just need some help. Can't expect any of you to understand that. Because suicide is an abnormal reaction to a chemical imbalance in the brain which can be caused by a variety of things; abuse, bullying, trauma (physical or emotional), genetic, mental illness.

Humans by nature have an instinct to not die and nobody actually wants to die. If someone said they were coming to kill you, you would be fearful. It's why we lock our doors, educate each other about safety and take precautions in life so we don't lose it.

People who want to take their own life and very, very ill people and need help. You aren't forcing them, if you take away the chemical factor of the mental health condition, these people do not want to die.
