Guy has two FB accounts, is that suspicious?

I met my new housemate very briefly before coming home for summer. We have a mutual friend.

I tried adding him on FB a few weeks ago he never responded.

I then got a request from him on another account, he said someone had hacked his old account but kept it active and was sorry for not adding me (I was confused as he must have been able to get into that account to see my request? ) Anyway hes been chatting to me constantly, I noticed he has no relationship info to show on this profile but on the other he had a girlfriend, is this a little dodgy to you?
