Is $400 enough to bring to Cabo, Mexico?

I am traveling to Cabo on June 26th and was told to bring $400 in american currency, obviously. We are staying in an all inclusive resort which provides drinks and food and some activities. My parents told me that I had to pay for anything that wasn't prepaid already! Is this enough? I'm struggling to save money, I have to buy a laptop as well. Please and thank you

I took $500 to Las Vegas and had no problems so I'm sure $400 to Mexico should be plenty.  Get a fake wallet.   I put the fake with a few bucks in my back pocket and the real one in my front pocket.  I always use the fake in public.   This way people think it is the real wallet.  Never use the real one in public.  Paranoia is good.   As to laptop I got a dandy HP 17.3" screen, i5, 6GB RAM, 750 GB Hard drive at Best Buy on sale for $429, normal price $569.   Watch out for it, it is a good laptop even at regular price.

It should be plenty, but I don't know why anyone would tell you to bring dollars. Don't your parents have an ATM card?  It's a whole lot easier to take pesos out of the ATM as you need them and not carry around a lot of cash. Theft is a big problem in Mexico. Use the safe at your hotel.

it depends , if you want to take the tours... or if you want to rent a car.... .. if you only consider that for relaxing in the hotel and go aroind cabo is ok...
