Is it wrong that I prefer not to discuss?

There's nothing wrong with not discussing it with anyone but good luck avoiding it. People always want to know everyone's business. I'm 50 and never married and no kids. I used to get a lot of questions about that but not anymore.

They are all personal choice matters.

There is no reason to discuss them with anyone unless you want too.

The only person who has any right to have any expectation you would discuss this with them is a life partner.

Not in any way. If other people don't have the self-esteem to mind their own business, and if they rely on nosing into other peoples' lives to hold themselves up, that's their weakness. Learn to say "no" in polite ways and don't be swayed uncomfortably. You can't help others by gratifying their gossiping tendencies anyway, they're the ones that need to change for ultimate personal health.

I live with a 32 yr old flat mate. She would never say anything to anyone, possibly me - certainly not a woman.
