I got a shotgun and im trying to conceal it in the home for home protection how do I conceal this gun without robbers trying to steal it?

I once lived in a pretty sketchy area while working a job. A place I only brought minimal things I needed. First thing I did was to buy my first " concealed carry " handgun, and acquire the permit to LEGALLY carry it. Then for my home, brought a shotgun.

You can try this : I found places near where I might be in the event I needed that shotgun. Looked for places out of sight. What I found was a coffee table, and of course the bed. Now if you were to get down on the floor and look under these things, could you clearly see the shotgun ? I made light string loops. Fishing line would do. Enough to certainly hold the shotgun, but, easy to break if I grabbed the thing. I then hung the shotgun up underneath the edge. That way if looking around, the gun is out of sight, you would need to specifically look under and up against the bottom to see it.

Thankfully, I only had to live in that place 10 months, and never had a real problem. ( I also had a 125 pound German Shepard who helped allot )

Yet another reason that shotguns for home defense are a horrible choice.... but since you're already there, the easiest thing to do is get a magnetic gun holder and mount it above the door on the inside of your closet. It's easy access and no one who is robbing the place will walk into your closet, turn around and look up.

They actually have custom made furniture with a quick access panel where its hidden out of sight - go google it

However depending on method concealing your shotgun may give you a slower response time so I recommend you train with snap caps shells for a emergency situation

Nevertheless make sure if you have children in the household to account for

false wall.

i know those kinds of robbers. smash n grab kind, they take valuable in plain sight. if they got a bit of time they'll search drawers, closets, under beds, furnishings, mattresses, the common hiding spots.

so where is the best place? not in plain sight and behind a false wall whether its cutting out a secret area in a wall or a false back of a closet.

it works so well even professionals (like the cops) aren't likely to find it unless they tear the place apart.

Paint the inside of your house, and the gun, camo, then just hang it on the wall. Nobody will be able to see it.

Do you have a trigger lock or cable lock for it? Most burglars won't look in the cellar.

Under your bed. If cannot, hide it in a suitcase/closet.

Behind your sofa or refrigerator.
