What you're talking about is illegal. The author shouldn't be cheated out of a sale because you don't want to pay the $10 to buy it on your own. Get it from your library if you want to read it so badly, or maybe your library has an ebook-borrowing service.

If you can't afford to purchase books, go to your library or borrow from a friend, or don't read them at all.

The kindle version is free already though...?

If the author gave it away, you might see it for free. If the author did not give it away, pay for it.
