Restart your computer before you try anything else, and make sure the monitor cable is properly attached to the monitor input at the back of the computer. If you have a wireless mouse, make sure it has fresh batteries.

That means your monitor is not receiving any input from the PC on the channel it has selected.

your monitor could be the prob... have you tried plugging in another monitor with your pc or trying another pc with your monitor?
