Hi! Yes you probably need a resume. I would go online and search "Resumes for first jobs" and download a template to get you started. Go into a few different places to hand in your resume and ask for the manager, then say "Hi! I'm ____ and was wondering if I could hand in this resume? Thank you!" and walk out. Keep handing in your resume until you get a call back!
Also, from experience, I would personally suggest not working in hospitality (so cafes, restaurants) as a first job (unless you want to work in the hospitality industry when you're older) as it is a lot of stress, and most cafe's aren't big organisations so their training could lack some vital points. Retail is a better way to go in my opinion. But you do you! and good luck (:

i think it varies on the state you live in but when i was 15 i needed a workers permit from school in order to work at a grocery store. just go in and say that you are interested in a job and they will either tell you they are hiring and to fill out an application, either online or one they will give you one, or they will tell you they arent hiring. the requirements for the job will most likely be on the application or interview. resumes are more for competitive careers not a part time cafe job.

They won't expect a 14 year old to have a work history to put on a resume, just try asking "Are they accepting applications?"
Relative few places hire kids under 16, mention your age up front before wasting everyone's time.

Depends on where you live, but most places you need a permit. Just go in, ask to talk to he manager, and ask if they're hiring. A resume would be goo, but not necessaary for that type of job. good luck.

Yes, you need a resume and a permit for this.
