Every generation has its burdens. What will the history books say are ours?

Update:

I would add the integration of China and India into the global economy. Japan, S. Korea and Taiwan were easy but these two behemoths represent nearly a third of the worlds population. The global labor glut they've caused has retarded the recovery and depressed wage rates in industrialized countries. Hopefully, at some point in the future our sacrifices will bear fruit.

That we, as a country, are allowing right-wing propaganda to masquerade itself as "news." There is a slew of people in this country who believe things that simply aren't true. And they vote. This needs to stop. We need STANDARDS in journalism and a media we can rely on. We need more media that is not CORPORATE controlled.

But perhaps just as big - do we DO SOMETHING on climate change? Or do we allow big polluters to pretend that 98% of climate scientists on the planet are part of a big hoax? When there's nothing left of this place, THIS generation will be looked at, because we were advanced enough, knew enough, but CHOSE to ignore it.

Chaos, division, debt.... we have a few different major problems, assuming your from the US right now we're being over taxed which is how a lot of great empires fell. There's a chance we could be the next one

There is no "our" generation, the time we live in is plagued with terrorism, greed, evil people, monstrosities, and debt; much like any other.

I'd say it's the issues involving minimum wage, gender wage gap, and immigration reform. And here are related reports about these issues:
