GRANDPARENTS! My oldest is being induced w/my first grandchild tomorrow. I'm terrified. Is this normal? LOL?

I am not a Grandparent, only a mum with 2 young ones, so cannot answer as a Grandparent sorry.

But I just wanted to say Congratulations and how exciting it must be to be welcoming your first grandchild into this world.

My sister had the first 3 grandchildren, so my children were just added to the bunch lol. But because my children were many years after my sisters last ones, my parents went through all the excitement of having grandchildren again lol.

I can only imagine that a Grandparent is not only excited and concerned about the health and wellbeing of their grandchild, but also the health and well being of their child also. It must be exciting/terrifying to see your child experience the excitement of becoming a parent, to watch them go through the pregnancy and to watch your grandchild grow/develop in your own child. To be excited/terrified would be normal and I guess expected.

As the pregnant one you are focused on yourself, on baby. But as a grandparent, it is not only the baby, it is your child carrying the baby. I just think it's great that the excitement continues.
