Pain of natural contractions vs being induced?

I was induced with my first and I can easily day it was a horrible awful pain I ended up getting an epidural and my contractions didn't break, but I just thought that was how birth went? Is it really that much different then doing it natural?

I'm 17 had my daughter on January. I had a natural birth with no pain meds. It wasn't that bad obviously or I would have got pain meds lol. My contractions were about a minute and 30 seconds long I had about a 2 minute break before another one came on... It did hurt a lot but nothing I couldn't handle there was times were the pain was bad & I felt like this was it and was thinking about getting meds but with the help of my bf I hung in there & went through with it & am very happy I did. I had my heart set out on going all natural! I did hear that being induced causes you much stronger contraction pains than natural contractions but I really wouldn't know as I have never been induced. Hopefully your next time around you can get to experience natural contractions and let us know if there was a big difference.

Congrats on the bundle of joy, enjoy him/her they grow up so fast!

I've never been induced, but I've heard that it is much worse. I've had four natural births and contractions were only a moderate, dull ache. They were not severe pain. It was a little worse than most hunger pains.

I used the Bradley method, so I never had uterine cramps.
