When a girl texts you "Hey we should grab coffee sometime next week!"?

So I know this girl that goes to my college who I met through a mutual friend. The only time we ever talk is when I see her in the library and we talk for a couple of minutes at most.

One day she saw me while I was working at my store and then texts me later that day saying "hey it was nice seeing you earlier, we should grab coffee sometime next week"

Is that a way of her asking me out? or is there any other meaning behind this?

    I would say yes, generally an invitation to get coffee is a date invitation.

    Uh, ya! It's her way of letting you know you should ask her out, and the answer will be yes. It's plain and simple.

    Of course she's asking you out. What else could it mean, other than that she likes you and would like to hang out?
