Why do you get bored?
Why is it so difficult for some people to just sit quietly for long periods of time with nothing to do, and not get bored, while this seems very easy for others?

Because we live in a society where we have been spoiled with choices and it simply doesn't make sense to just sit around and do nothing. Our minds are used to technology, media, gossip, news. Our minds are almost never relaxing.
