Hotfix for Windows problem?
Hello guys. I am a Windows 7 user and have encountered a problem with their (Microsofts) Hotfix for Windows update. To make a long story short I had accidentally opened a file that....*sigh* could've contained a virus and needed to do a virus scan and my antivirus needed an update from windows to be completely updated . Anyways, the update, as well as another one from windows failed to install and I read from the Microsoft website to install Windows Hotfix. Well when I did, the installation never told me what folder on my computer it downloaded to and I tried looking for it SEVERAL times with the "Search" option only to turn up nothing. I don't know what else to do. If anyone could help on this I'd really appreciate it. Please no leaving any meanspirited comments as they will be promptly dismissed. Thank you and have a nice day!.

Normally people just install "hotfixes", they don't download to a location. But if you did download it then it's going to go to the downloads folder or else the last location you downloaded something to.
Since you can't find it, just go back to the windows site and do it again. This time just run it instead don't download it. On the other hand, if it's important to you to download it, then pay attention to what location it's going to because it's always going to give you an option on location because anytime something downloads it will give you that option. This is generally at the bottom of the page where it will say: "run," "save", "save-as". Select the "save as" so you can pick the location.
