Should a person who makes the following statements about a certain ethnic group be allowed to teach elementary school?

We don't want to spend our entire lives on bodas, baptizmos, quincienieras, and cumpleanos. We have individual lives.

We can actually go to school, and learn how to read well and take difficult classes.

We don't need to stand on the street corner with gang members in order to be happy.

Our goal in life is not to be the member of a really tough gang.

We don't want to knock a girl up at age 18, and then be poor for the rest of our lives with a minimum wage job supporting 5 kids.

Our idea of fine cuisine is not tortillas, rice, beans, and goat meat.

We do not believe a party is boring unless a gun goes off or someone gets stabbed.

We do not think it is normal to have to start your car half the time with jumper cables.

We do not feel it is necessary to have a nickname like "gato," and then spray paint it all over the walls.

We do not keep our car super clean---by taking out all the trash, and dumping it on the parkway of someone else's lawn.

We do not get super drunk, and then hit another car, and then take off at high speed because we have no insurance.

We do not pay for the funerals of dead 18 year olds who overdosed, by staging a car wash.

We do not think: "Well, if I ever REALLY get in trouble with the law, I can just go to Mexico."

We don't just take dirty diapers and just throw them "wherever."

Update:

"We don't come into a park with 100 family members, take over all the barbeques, and then ruin everyone's lives in the park by blaring our ugly music at full blast.

We don't need to come home drunk at 12 midnite on a workday, then stay up with the TV on full blast so the neighbors can't sleep until 3 in the morning.

We do not take our kids to the library, or the store, or the restaurant, and then let our kids yell and scream and run around at the top of their lungs and bother everyone."

The remarks are out of context.

Context is important when it comes to determining if comments are racist.

You do not say the race of the speaker

And you do not say which ethnic group they are talking about.

If the person was not Hispanic but was talking about Hispanics, a white guy for example, then it would be a racist statement, denigrating another group rather than reflecting on ones own ethnic group.

If the person is a Hispanic american then the comments are not really racist, since the person would be talking about stereotypes of their own race, rather than attacking another race. This would be like a Jewish person criticizing or making a joke about Jewish people. Bigoted themes could come up, but you are directing them at yourself, in a way, which is more acceptable. Others of the same ethnic group may be offended, some may not. It's not clear cut racism.

No. Definitely not elementary school. Maybe a Hispanic University but they should be Hispanic or it kinda just sounds racist...

Yes, they live in reality and would try to teach young people to have aspirations beyond living en el gueto.
