This is a difficult question to answer.
Since the court has already been partitioned to decide if you should or owe rent, this case is now in the system.
In most cases, even though the case does not go to trial, it would wind up on your credit report. The credit
bureaus would not check or is require to check and see if your case actually went before a judge.
It might be to your benefit to appear at the court trial as scheduled. If you have proof that you have paid your rent current to include any legal and late fees.
You are not going to speak with your landlord, but to appear before a judge. This person is in the legal
profession. You would want to show up with concrete proof as oppose to a cashier check, money order as these documents only proof that you have secured a certain amount of money. In the pay to section you could write any ones name in this section.
Most likely this will not fly as evidence when presented to a judge.
You might have your landlord or someone from you property management firm to appear at the trial and testify that you have paid your rent in full.
Dis would give the judge reason to dismiss the case, this would be annotated on the court documents
dismissed. Being that the case has been dismissed by the judge would show you that you have no criminal record in this case.
The other method is to have the landlord or property manager go to court to file documents to dismiss the case themselves.
I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

I'm pretty sure it may affect the credit unless you get this resolved. While it won't be reported on a credit report it does bring your score down especially if unpaid rent goes on collection. It does go on a tenant screening report.

You may be SOL if you don't have the money by court. It only goes on your credit if there is a judgement.

landlord has to report it for it to be on your record...anybody checks a county file and an eviction is filed

I think so, but if you pay them the whole amount they are asking, I'm pretty sure it will not affect your credit score.
