is it weird for a 16 and 20 year old to date?

I'm 20, and she is 16. she is super mature. we've been on a couple dates but have mostly just hung out as friends. my family and her family are both completely comfortable with the idea. I really like her, and i'm almost positive she likes me. we have so much in common and I want to ask her to be my girlfriend when she gets back from a trip she is on. I feel like four years isn't be that big of a difference and if she was 20 and I 24 nobody would care. opinions please?

the age of consent is 16 in my state. although I would not pressure her into sex.

It's a little weird to me because I know my parents would never let me date a guy that much older than me and I'm 17. But if her parents are okay with it and you don't take advantage of her, then it should work out fine! But make sure not to pressure her to do anything she doesn't want to do.

Depends how you look at it. Right now, yes it's wrong, if you decided to have a sexual relationships he can get arrested. But yet again its a 4 year difference. Once you're 18 it will seem normal since he'll be 22. See? I suggest you wait until you're 18.
