What are the qualifications to fly a helicopter?

It is not important that you have a degree or high qualification for flying a helicopter. If you have a sound knowledge of Math's, Physics and speaks english very well then you can be eligible to fly a helicopter.

Flying a helicopter is a wee bit more complex than flying a fixed wing airplane. If you can hop from one foot to the other while rubbing your stomach and at the same time patting your head, then you have a good chance of being a helicopter pilot.

If you are able to ride a unicycle while balancing a glass of water on your head and playing a ukelele and singing "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" all at the same time, you're pretty much in.

Oh, and they won't train poor people, trolls, pathological liars, and anyone with behavioral problems, so you're probably out.

The ability to do your own research is a good start, like the minimum requirements for a licence, you can find that on the net as easily and more reliably than asking here.

Other than that, the ability to rub your tummy and pat your head at the same time as going up a staircase, backwards, on a pogo stick, blindfolded, would indicate the necessary degree of coordination!

i usually assume people who would like to fly aircraft have a brain, but when i see the questions on yahoo answers, i'm not so sure...

qualifications? appropriate operation and size licence, type rating and passing medical.
