Can a job fire you after one sick day?
Been workin at a Penn Station east coast subs for a couple of months. Called in sick yesterday. I had better things to do. Can they fire me? I mean, this job is beyond irrelevant. And I give approximately zero f*cks about the matter. I'm just wondering. Can I take advantage of them if they wrongfully terminate me? I'd love me some unemployment money. Free money! Yippe ki yay mudafucka.

If you gave zero fvcks about this you wouldn't ask.
Yes you can be fired. You can be fired for any reason, or no reason. No you can't get unemployment.

You don't have a union, yes they can fire you, even if they just don't like your attitude. And no you can't get unemployment if you're fired for cause, and that includes not showing up, or having a bad attitude.
There is no such thing as wrongful termination in your case. Don't use them for a reference in the future.

"Called in sick yesterday. I had better things to do." - Yes, you can be fired for calling in sick and not actually being sick. And they can fire you for being a 12 year old TROLL (if you're not actually 12 years old, your maturity level sure is).
