Would you believe that the person who posted this rant claims to be an educator?
This rant was posted today as a answer to a question on immigration:
""They are SUBHUMANS. The do not speak our language, or follow any laws, they dumb down our schools to retardo level, and they have destroyed my city of Los Angeles."
That person claims to be a former elementary teacher and current reading specialist.

I might venture a guess that a teacher whose hate is so close to the surface is now a former educator rather than current is because s/he was fired, and reading specialist is what s/he's doing to make ends meet.

Yes.. I have worked with some very ignorant people in the field of education. I've heard of one teacher talk about how her high schoolers are animals that should be put to death or beaten with a bad and that satan is inside of them etc. Just because you are a teacher, doesn't mean you actually are a role model of a person... it just means they needed a warm body in the room to teach, and you happened to want to do it.
