does it cost more to insure a car that is titled and registered in a company name than a car titled and registered in a persons name?

Either way will cost more. A company car should have commercial insurance, since it is a business. A personal car that is used for business, should also have commercial insurance, since NO personal auto policy covers you, if in an accident, while using for your business.

So, to title it or register it, makes no difference, but, for insurance to cover this car, MUST have commercial insurance.

That may depend on the laws of the state where the car is registered.
