no internet access and DNS server not responding?
What ExACTLy does this mean b/c i currently do not have any wi- fi internet signal at the moment. Frustrating. "Problem loading page" "server not found".....as in: nothing happening. Blank white screen. Help.........

A DNS error is usually the first sign of ANY network problem, because any host using a hostname needs to be resolved to an IP address, and if you have no network access, you have no DNS. Although, static web content might be cached by your web browser for viewing off-line, dynamic data may use a no-cache tag in html, which may not be accessible if you have no Internet connection. http://www.metatags.info/meta_http_equiv_pragma

If you have no internet and try and do anything, DNS is the first thing to make a connection. So this is a reasonable error; there is no way a browser "tests" for connectivity, it only knows from a failure.
