I need this for a D&D campaign. For a height of 5 to 6ft tall how far can a person see into a pit that is 10ft away and 35 feet deep?
Update:
Assume the edges of the pit are even with the ground that the person is standing on.

Assuming the pit is 10 ft. wide, then the person could see 5 to 6 feet down the far edge.
