I remember my first time being on a plane - it was really fun. I went to Hawaii when I was 8 years old as a family vacation. I looked on the window during takeoff and it was one of the coolest experiences ever.
Now I've been on a plane at least 30-40 times - I've honestly lost track.
There's no cinema on the plane. If you have an iPod or a portable DVD player, you can watch movies. Sometimes on longer flights, they have an in-flight movie on a small TV screen in the aisles.
You won't crash. The plane makes a lot of weird noises during takeoff and landing and they are completely normal. It also shakes a little sometimes, which is completely normal.

A few times, mostly small 8-20 seaters like Cessnas.

Well, you have to stay buckled in your seat during takeoff but once you're in the air it just feels like riding in a car or train, except smoother.
