My field trainer at Primerica can t get referrals!!! What now?!?
I went on 8 appts from my warm market with my field trainer and he only got 2 referrals from 1 girl that I brought for recruiting. That s really pissing me off, because my warm market will end soon or later and then what am I gonna do?! He alwas say you can t get referrals from everyone, but what am I gonna do when my warm market ends?! He s been in this business for about 10 years and he s still regional leader, which makes me wonder where I m gonna go . They say the speed of the leader is the speed of the team and I don t want to be regional leader for 10ys. I m super motivated but if I dont have ppl to call and make appotiments what I m supposed to do?!
Please advise!

Primamerica is a company that can only sell 2 products and thats whole life and term. People don't like to be limited with there options and your trainer should be able to get 3-5 referrals from every training. There is a lack of belief and passion in your trainer. People buy products and give referrals because they see the belief and the excitement and the energy from the person infront of them. look at the growth of your company. You need to change the company you are with or keep changing your trainer. I won't name the company i am with but my office is number 2 in the entire company and that is 40,000 large and each associate receives 2-4 referrals from every appointment because of our trainers belief and energy. You are in the right industry , maybe not the right company.

I would suggest doing some searching on the internet to find a business networking group in your area. I sell insurance and probably 70% of my business has come from a local leads group I have attended for the last 12 years. I am in the leads group for health insurance even though I do everything from life to investments. Primerica offers some health insurance options now, so find a leads group in your area that has a slot for either health insurance, life insurance, or (since you are with Primerica) business opportunity. You will find that joining a good networking group will save you from having no one to talk to and you wont need to rely on your useless manager. BNI is a national group that has local leads meetings, the link is below. I have never been in a BNI group (the group I am in is independent), but that may be a place to start your search. Best of luck to you.

When the warm market ends, you are going to quit. That's whats happens to 95% of all new insurance salespersons.
And quitting is what you are going to do. They brought you on so that you would bring in that girl, and they could gets wo referrals off her. Once your warm market ends, they don't need or want you.

Well, that's the tricky part of selling insurance - you'll have to cold call and knock on doors.

Sorry that you are getting taken. Their whole business model is to get as many recruits in as possible, have those recruits sell as many high priced plans to their friends as possible, have those recruits bring on as many other recruits as possible to sell the high priced plans to their friends, then when you can't sell enough to live on you'll quit, owing them much of the advance and other fees as possible.
