If you had sex at 10am on Monday, for example, and took the morning after pill at 11am, yes it will work. Although, you should know that the morning after pill doesn't always work. You took it within the right amount of time but it can still fail.

Doctors advise not to take it on a regular basis because it can stop working for you.

The morning after pill is emergency contraception. It should be taken only in emergencies, like when a condom breaks or you forget your pill. You need to be on a long term contraceptive if you are having sex regularly, like the pill, nexplanon, coil, or even condoms.
