I assume you've already put up posters like everywhere in your area, handed out flyers with your contact details and a picture of the dog, checked all the vets and shelters in the area to see if someone has found the dog, searched high and low, set up some ads online, and you have been doing this for these 25 days.
Honestly who knows, in 25 days ANYTHING could have happened to your dog. If you haven't done any of the things I mentioned above then the chances of you finding your dog are slim. The dog isn't going to come and just knock on your door if that's what you're thinking, You need to search and make everyone aware in the area that you have lost a dog.

Sorry but probably not... But you never know someone could of taken like a animal control officer and they could of taken them to the pound or someone could of seen your dog and took him as a pet. Try putting up signs that he or she is lost! Good luck!

Never give up hope! My neighbours cat went on an expedition for a whole year and then decided to return out of the blue, ( he wasn't impressed with his replacement though!). Never give up hope but just try not to think about it every second of the day. Good luck!!

Maybe, there have been cases of dogs and cats missing for months, even years and then being returned home.

It wouldn't be lost if had kept it properly contained, leashed and supervised at at all times, and made an effort* to look for it.
What may have happened to it: poisoned, beaten, set on fire, shot, placed in a plastic bag, thrown in dumpster, stolen, sold to a lab, used as a bait dog, eaten by a predator and:

Please don't ever get another pet until you learn to be a responsible owner.
* Ask at all shelters/rescues/vet offices/around the neighborhood, and post fliers at all of the same, also in all local newspapers.

Its possible, someone may find your dog, or it may come home on its own. Take some comfort in knowing your dog probably hasn't gone far and is most likely trying to find home too.
