You can't get around "the copyright stuff". People who say "I don't own the song" are just stupid people. "i don't own the song" is just admitting that you're fully aware of the crime you're committing. You don't own the song, therefore, it wasn't yours to use in your video.
Copyright is literally the right to copy and that is not our right. That is the right of the entertainment companies (Music Record labels, TV channels, Production studios, movie studios, ETC).
Uploading copyrighted music, tv shows, movies, books, ETC to youTube or anywhere else online is no different than giving out bootleg DVD-R and CD-R copies to your friends. It's giving out unlicensed/unauthorized copies
YouTube has a content identifier and will likely be able to notice the songs you use in an instant.
Record labels, TV studios, Movie studios, ETC. - They give YouTube digital copies of their tv shows, movies, music, ETC and YouTube stores it in a database so they can detect these in user uploads. Plus, Google Owns YouTube and they have all that stuff for sale on the google play store, so they can also match it to something sold on google play.

When a video is uploaded to YouTube, it processes. While it's processing, it is scanned for copyrighted material in their database
if it's a match, the video has a copyright claim on it . With a copyright claim, the video can be
1. blocked worldwide
2. Deleted and the user gets a copyright strike
3. The audio is muted
4. blocked in some countries with Ads placed on the video
When you see other people's videos with copyrighted material, Either it's
A. Blocked in some countries and your country is one it's not blocked in
B. The material isn't in YouTube's database
C. The user made a derivative work by modifying the material by changing the pitch, speed, color, ETC to throw off the content identifier
D. they have a license from the copyright owner
It's still copyright infringement unless you have permission or a license from the copyright owner. "I don't own the song" is like robbing a bank and telling the cops "Oh it's ok, I don't own the money"
The videos you can see still run the risk of being deleted if the status of the copyright claim changes or if their license expires. "Blocked in some countries" is always subject to change.

It is a very tricky business my friend. The song you put up will most likely be copyrighted but it is possible to get away with having songs in videos and not having them be copyrighted. Choose songs wisely to add to videos and search up how long copyright lasts for on music. It will help to know which songs you can & can't use

Use a program like Audacity to change the pitch of the song. This prevents it from being taken down. If the music is brief or quiet, it might not be detected either. Even without this, videos with songs usually don't get taken down unless the owner of the song flags it. YouTube also has a selection of songs you can use free of copyright. You can get to them by going to YouTube, clicking on your channel's icon in the top-right corner, clicking creator studio, going to the create tab on the left, and then audio library. If you're partnered with a network, many of them have music websites with songs that you can use free of copyright, too.

I know if less than 10seconds no copy infrigment or you cant get sued. I know Michelle Phan got sued for copy infrigment. If you google her with sued you may be can read upon it and learn.
