How do you cope with a society that is going to hell?

The homosexual community has won. They are teaching homosexuality in the schools to children and are conditioning them to see homosexuality is normal. Black people are being treated like second class citizens in this country and being murdered by cops who cover it up and are acquitted of all charges. The media gets a kick out of every home and overseas terrorists attack and mass murders. You are no longer allow to voice how you feel about something without receiving backlash from society if you say something against the norms. We have dealt with the radical republicans now the radical liberals are taking over. Men are being emansculated and feminized. Women are becoming masculine and losing their feminity. The public school systems are a complete joke and the government has no interest in educating our children just teaching them to be mindless slaves drowning in student loan debt for the rest of their lives. I am at the point where I no longer care. I am at the point where I see both political parties as a joke and understand why people no longer vote. Everybody finds a reason to be offended and everything is so political correct. No one is accountable for their actions and everything is backwards. Everything that was normal and traditional is now wrong. Everything that untraditional is the now right. So how do you cope or do you simply give up on trying?

Things will seem less discouraging if you take the long historical view. Christianity has been here before, and has gone through times of much worse unpopularity and persecution, but it has always survived and revived. In particular, you might find it helpful to read about some of the persecution of the early church by the Romans, and about some of the martyrs who gave their lives for their faith at that time (eg St Polycarp, St Ignatius of Antioch, St Agnes, St Lawrence, St Alban). Seeing what they went through will put the current situation in perspective, and will also provide good examples of Christians facing up to the worst the world can offer.

Different people will have different ways of dealing with the situation as it is now, and there is no single correct answer. God will give some people the grace to speak out wisely and persuasively against society, others the courage to actively resist injustice, and others the perseverance to keep on quietly and steadfastly in their faith, supporting others by prayers and quiet example. How you fit into this picture depends on your situation, your duties and the particular gifts God has given you to use.

It's sad that the sufferings of Black people have become worse since Obama started openly supporting the LGBT. The more that they promote the notion that gay issues are the same as the genuine problems of the African Americans, the more Blacks are getting persecuted. I too am deeply concerned that children are being indoctrinated with the gloriousness of gay and transgender life and taught that the true values of their parents and/or grandparents are trash. I cope by engaging in serious prayer and by helping to support the cause of some African American pastors who are organizing to fight gay marriage. If you are interested in learning about them, here's a link. http://www.caapus.org/

The more that LGBT supporters claim that being gay is the same as being Black, the more Blacks end up suffering unjustly. I hope that people will soon come to their senses and stop supporting the LGBT.

  • Atque Digitus Dei Est Hoc. "The Finger of God is even here!" Nazis took over all of Europe, where are they now? America once ruled supreme without any doubt like Rome, but where is she now? Where is Rome? Where is Charlemagne's Empire? Only the Church has endured, even as the world has relentless sought her destruction, Christ's Church still teaches the same message handed on to the first generation Christians from the Apostles. Even after every Caliphate in history has fallen.

You need the Truth. Jesus Christ is the way and the truth and the life. He will give you hope and a future.

    Find out more.

Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all He appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.(Paul)1Cor15:3-8 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead."…Acts 17:30-31 9By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.1John 4:9-10 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”Acts 4:12 Repent and believe the gospel. Certainly a lot to deal with isn't it ?!

This world's problems are too complex for any human government or organization to tackle and solve.

What helps me to remain sane and hopeful is to focus on the real solution to mankind's problem - the Creator's heavenly government.

They aren't 'teaching homosexuality in the schools' and, hate to break it to you, but homosexuality is 'normal'. Not a majority condition, obviously, but it occurs in nature in many species and is therefore, normal. Some police are corrupt, not much has changed since the 60's in some places. The media will go with what sells, what draws people in, You can voice your opinion on matters, but it should be done with respect for those who hold different views. I don't think radical liberals are taking over, in fact conservatives seem to be in power right now. Men are finally being allowed to show their feminine side and women are finally becoming empowered, neither is bad. I agree our school system is by and large terrible and needs to be revamped. Not everything has changed. Just don't get overwhelmed. do your part in your small corner of the world to make things better for yourself and others and let others do the same. Losing hope is Exactly what those in power want us to do.

Your first two sentences about problems in American society are quite interesting, because the notion that black people are NOT second-class citizens and subject to murdering by others (including police) is the result of many of us being taught in schools that being black is normal. And lots of people just like you complained that treating black people as normal was an example of society going to hell.

As long as you regard homosexuality as abnormal, you see, you yourself are part of the problem--just as those who regarded

    - black people in general, or

    - black people who weren't slaves, or

    - black people who wanted to get married, or

    - white and black people who wanted to get married to each other

as abnormal were part of the problem.

Sure, there's a lot wrong. But a lot can be put right by people who practice the Golden Rule, and maybe we ought to promote its practice more.

God is good. You can find comfort in him. I know it can be depressing how society is. It's not how it used to be. Please reach out to God for help. By prayer you will be able to cope. He will judge the world when he comes back. The Lord does not like wicked people either.

"The homosexual community has won"? You mean fewer and fewer people ostracize them? Fewer and fewer people want to murder them? They have the right to congregate together, to marry each other etc?

Wow. How much hate do you carry around?

Sure, the media does publicize THE UNUSUAL at the expense of the usual, which means it's easy to think that crime is increasing etc - when in fact it is DECREASING.

As for women becoming masculine and men being emasculated, I think that's VASTLY oversimplifying what's going on. Women have more rights, men have more rights (in the West). Unfortunately, we're spending money on improving things for women and ignoring the effect on men (education, etc)

Being at the point you no longer care is belied by you asking the question.

If you are social conservative, yeah, I can see you thinking things are pretty bleak.

However, NEWFLASH FOR YOU: Throughout *ALL* history, social conservatives have ALWAYS lost out to social liberalism. Always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS!

Sometimes you have regional exceptions over a short period of time, but generally, and certainly over time, social conservatism loses.

Always. It's basically inherent in the concept.
