Do you think I'll be able to use a 970m for 3 years?
I'm fine with playing at the lowest settings at 720p getting only like 20fps If that's all I could possibly get I don't really care about looks as long as I can play it I just don't want to spend 1,500 if it won't last as long as I need it to ya know thanks

i have 970m. using it right now. 970m is even a little faster then the 880m. i always turn game settings down a bit so i can maintain a pefect 60FPS with vsync on cuz my display is 60hz. that way you get silky smooth graphics. im playing forgotten sands and my gpu fan isnt even blowing at all. but if i play far cry 4 or crysis 3 etc.. i have to turn settings down a bit. i have 1080p display but sometimes i run game at 900p. cant notice a difference. 720p you will notice. looks a bit blurry.
it depends if you want to play brand new games. i have lots of older games i havnt played yet.
