Without directly asking the person, I've had a difficult feeling for over a year now?

My best friend since I was 16 (now 36), we've had our ups and downs, you would over a period like that. We've not seen each other so much at all in the last 4-5 years. I'm male, she's female

Without going into specific detail, we chatted in 2012 things were good with each other. In 2014 my father died suddenly and I wasn't one to share about it on facebook. I went to work as usual. I wasn't hiding, I just wasn't going to tell the world about it. Anyone who did talk to me, I was open and honest about my feelings. I was coping my way

My dilemma comes from this. My best friend knew something was wrong from the facebook clues, and messaged me. After an hours chat, she arranged to meet me the next day at 2000. Social media being what it is now, I messaged her at 1950 as a remindeder. I sent a text as well.

She'd 'seen' the message at 1955, but didn't show. I'd been stood up. With loss of a parent, I wasn't in any mood to dwell on it that night. You are open to someone accusing you of being over emotional if you react.

Though in the days to come my anger and rage levels went through the roof as she didn't explain herself of apologise. I only calmed down when another good friend told me they raged a lot when one of their parents passed, it's normal.

I've never had an explanation for my best friends actions. She's never replied to either message, or had any contact with me at all since

Why did she do this? Even more important, what do I say to her the next time I see her?
