If we need so many nurses why are they making the program's so hard to get accepted in?

We supposedly need nurses but it's going to take me 2-4 semesters just be accepted into a program.

Nursing is a popular profession. It is open to men and women, the pay is good, the benefits are good. I had to wait a semester to get into my RN class. We need trained dedicated nurses, not a lazy lack problem solving skills nurses. There is a nursing shortage, certain specialties go begging. Others, there is a waiting list to take the job. I was sick recently, and the OR anesthesiologist tried to recruit me for the surgery, even asked why I had never considered surgery before. It was funny, here I am about to be operated on, and I had a job waiting for me, LOL.

I prefer to have a difficult program, We lost one woman in our class, due being a poor student, I heard that there was more to it than that. Again, we need trained nurses, not goof offs. .

  • Surely the answer is to increase the number of nurses being trained, not to lower the quality of nurses being trained.

If it was easy to get into, then you'd have unqualified people caring for patients, and people who use apostrophes when they aren't needed.

We need nurses, not useless nurses
