I feel bad for myself in the way I feel bad for others?
I have depression. And it's really bad. And I'm getting through it. But basically, a few months ago was a time when I was super sad. And when I think back on that, I feel bad for my past self. I feel bad for myself right now. I mean, I'm sad, but I also feel bad for myself. Does anyone understand what I mean? Like if you feel bad for someone else... Can someone help me with this?

I think that, perhaps, it's a good sign. If you're feeling 'empathy' for your past self, as you described in one of the comments, I think that's good. If you're feeling sorry for your past self as you feel bad for others, maybe that's a sign you're a different person than you used to be, and you're getting better.
Keep fighting! You'll get there! And maybe when your depression has ceased, you'll look back and feel sorry for the self you are now. You can make it!

Feel 20% bad for others and use that 80% in you (feel bad foryourself) turned opposite into 80% success.
