I am about to install Windows 10 and I need about 4 more gigs of space free on my C drive to do so what files can I delete?

I have moved a lot of programs to my ssd drive which is about a terabyte and half full. I've been weary about messing with moving too many programs over to it and causing myself problems but if there is anything I can move to my ssd drive that would be helpful too. But what I'm especially looking for are window 7 files that maybe I don't need anymore since I'm downloading Windows 10 now. Thanks.

Check your add/remove programs list and see if you have anything there that you can remove. Also you can delete all Temporary Internet files, cookies, and empty the Prefetch Folder. Then clean up your drive and run defrag and see what you have.

First you should remove all unnecessary programs and empty recylebin.

If it still not enough then you should move all file/folder from your desktop, Documents, Downloads folders. In my experience, these are the largest folders in term of disk usage.

you could always delete photos and word documents/spreadsheets that you don't need anymore ??
