Help! How to get quick beutiful photos?

Hi so i have a interview Saturday morning and i need a updated picture of myself (modeling buisness) to bring in but im on a buget so i have to take the pictures at home. I have A Cannon Camara and a person to take the photos . But any tips how to get the lighting and editing. What should i do in this short amount of time. I need this picture to be perfect for the appointment

    Forget editing, get it right in the camera and editing will not be required. Wear make up, do your hair up nice. By a window is a good place - the light coming in from the side, use natural diffuse light, not direct sunshine, avoid on camera flash. And use a tripod, make sure you are at least 2 metres (2 yards) from the camera, and use the zoom lens to frame the shot.

    A " modeling business " will expect a well done portfolio , not photos that were taken inside your home . And you can't rush quality work .

    Sorry , what you want just isn't possible in a short period of time .

    And take maybe a couple of hundred shots even. Keep the camera going so you'll have lots to choose from in the end. This being the digital age, you can just erase what you don't want.

    I'd probably pass on that interview .
