2002 Opel Zafira. Power steering stopped working.?

Bought 2002 Zafira , lying up for a year.

Wouldn't start.

Jumped to get home.

Mechanic changed battery to new battery.

Changed alternator to re-conditioned alternator.

Now the power steering doesn't work , in fact it never worked as long as I owned the car.

    My mechanic said its electric , not run by belt buy electric motor.

    He said it may be a fuse. It he went on holidays yesterday...

    1 does it even have PS?

    2. is it hydrolic? run by a belt? is belt there? does it turn pump?3 is it electric?
