Would this tote bag work good for school?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PT5OKFW/ref=ox...
My school uses ipad's so I don't have to carry around text books, It will just be probably two 1in binders and a 1.5in binder plus some notebooks. Also my ipad and a lunch bag but I could just carry my lunch bag .
I have a locker and will only actually be carrying this bag while walking to my car, into school, out of school, and into my house, So I am not concerned about my shoulders...

IF you are comfortable always holding it in your hands, the convenience of backpacks is the weight it on your shoulders some of the time, not always on your arms. Depending on how much you carry it can get tiring.

No, it won't.
You're going to have enough notebooks and other things that you should still get a decent backpack with wide straps. Holding a tote bag will eventually hurt your shoulder and your elbow- and your back. Tote bags are for shopping or going to the beach - not school. You may think it's more fashionable to carry one, but it's going to catch up with you later when you're hunched over or you have elbow problems. Seriously not worth it.
