What does this sentence means in my rental agreement?

Update:

"Not carry on or permit to be carried on upon the Premises any profession trade, business or any illegal immoral or improper activity whatsoever or receive paying guests on the property but use the same as a private residence only for the Tenant and his immediate family provided that where the Tenant is a corporation an employee of the Tenant first approved in writing by the Landlord (such approval not to be unreasonably withheld) and his immediate family only except for occasional guests."

As bob said you can't have paying guests or run a business there or do any illegal activity there.

your apartment can be used by you and your immediate family. there is no need of permission for your family to visit and stay with you provided that they are not staying with you permanently(occasional guests).

It means exactly what it says, nothing illegal allowed, no renting out to other people, not to be used for business purpose and only people to live their are your immediate family and the occasional guest.

    Geez, that's all one sentence?

You should be allowed to have a visitor for a month or so. Longer than that would be questionable.
