  • It is not illegal to insult anyone for any reason. It's called free speech. You should know that some states still go by the old fashioned 'fighting words' concept which basically says that someone who is responding to an insult can retaliate with force. In other words, feel free to insult their religion, but be prepared in case they take a swing at you.

If someone insults Thor it's called a comic book. If someone insults Jesus no one dies. If someone insults Mohamed people might die. It is clear which one is in the wrong.

It is not against the law and should not be. It's a bad idea anyways.

Yes, this is very ridiculous to insult anyone for their religion. That should be illegal, nobody can insult others religion. This kind of cheap things makes the difference between the different religion people. Sometimes, this stupid thing raise up to the war between two religion groups. So it should be strictly banned.

Regarding what "The Arbiter of common sense " said, yes it is not illegal to insult someone about anything, but you have to be ready to possibly get physically assaulted. And also, if it goes to court, there is the possibility that " you were asking for it" and if you did not want to start a fight, why did you come up to someone and intentionally insult that person when you could have just walked away and said nothing?

  • No and no.

Perhaps insulting isn't the right word. But when something is demonstrably inaccurate and people still blindly adhere to it while at the same time condemning those of us who do not, sometimes it needs to be mocked in order for people to realize just how absurd it is.

Freedom of speech is not illegal, though you're not free from consequence, if they are rather unhappy they may get violent. It doesn't matter what you say though it may be used in court. On top of that, any violence against someone due to their religion, race, etc is considered a hate crime. all in all, keep opinions to yourself and it's fine.

You should be allowed to insult anyone you want as long as you don't crying when they insult you back. But really, going to petty with religion when there are better things like their common sense or lack of.

I agree with the above comments, free speech and all. I wish it was illegal to insult me after I explain why I choose not to join a particular affiliation. I live in the Bible belt. So no, I don't want to see you every week and I choose to live and apply a modern Bible belief.

If you insult a Muslim face to face, you might get the death penalty. So you should only insult Muslims from a distance, such as via the internet.

Generally speaking, insults are not illegal. However, if an insult is also a libel, a slander, or false news, then your speech is not protected and someone could make a complaint about it.
