If dressing nicely (in a no-shoes house), would you rather wear mismatched socks or go barefoot?
The other day, family was coming over and we all dressed semi-nice. I wore a blouse, cardigan, and jeans. I was unable to find matching pair of socks, so I put on a pair of mismatched color. My mom said that it looked tacky (not dressed nicely), and that I should just take them off and have bare feet. I thought it was odd, but I took them off and was barefoot. If dressing nicely, would you rather wear mismatched socks or go barefoot?

Your Mom needs to lighten up. No one looks completely formal without shoes on. The socks would have been fine.
With that said, I much prefer to be bare foot as often as possible and I never wear socks in the house.
