Is there any new car company that you can place an order with and only get the options you want and not all these outrageous packages ?

No...

Manufacturers do not custom-build vehicles. Just about everything on the market comes with power windows/locks/mirrors, cruise control and titl steering. After that, it's all packages. For instance, you're not ordering a base Corolla L, and adding navigation. You're not getting a Ram 1500 Laramie Limited with cloth interior. They will not stop everything and build your exact vehicle, then go back to building the thousands of vehicles for the rest of the world. Your money isn't that important.

You CAN order a vehicle, but it has to be within the manufacturers specs. You can get an Accord EX-L spec'd out any way you want, but you can't break up the packages that are available for that particular vehicle. You can't add or delete items in any package.

Car buying is a pain. I just mentally X-out the options I don't want, including the added window sticker with the $600 paint protection etc., and figure out my offer. If they don't like it, I go to another dealer. But I think all makes are similar as far as option pkgs. Example, we were looking at a Soul. The manual one is $XXXXX. The automatic one adds about $4000! No one seems to know why either. I just wanted a Soul with automatic. Nope, can't get it.

Yes, but only wealthy people can afford their vehicles. If you don't have that kind of money, then you must choose the package that has the options you want.

Sometimes, I repeat, sometimes, you can custom order cars with different combinations of options but expect it to take a LONG time to get your car, especially if it is manufactured overseas, and don't expect to get a discounted price. Generally this kind of service is only available on high-end luxury cars, such as Porsche.

If the options are only available in one of those "outrageous packages", no.
