Getting a pelvic exam?
Hello,
I am a 25 year old female. I posted in a previous question that I would prefer a family doctor not do a pelvic exam. However, I would feel comfortable having an Ob/Gyn do tit. I found one about 10 minutes from work that can accommodate my schedule by offering me an appointment after 5PM and accepts my insurance. I looked them up on Vitals and the doctor got very good reviews from patients. However, the doctor is a male. This would be my first ever exam. Therefore, would it be a good idea to see a male doctor? Can I ask when booking the appointment that a female nurse be present? Also, I am a virgin, so do I even need to have the exam? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Piano girl you shouldn't worry about the doctor's gender and once he is good at his job and yes you can request a female nurse to be present with you so I hope this helps you out.
