Is it normal to be suicidal in high school?
Is it normal to be 17/18 yrs old and be suicidal as a female? I knew a girl who had clinical depression and would dump her bf all the time and date jerks and sleep with them. She would be normal some days.. then want to kill herself and not respect herself other days.
5/6 years later I found out she's married with her 2nd child (not the guy she was with in high school.)
Is this normal? By normal I don't mean COMMON.

People struggle with issues in different ways; mostly by the way their parents or upbringing dealt or coped with.
I was suicidal in middle school; I had the most hopeless, pathetic feeling towards myself and everyone around me.
For my purposes, I felt suicidal for years because I didn't know how to cope or handle frustrating situations. I was scared, and just wanted an easy way out.
I will say that people who are struggling with depression / suicide have a lot of baggage they are carrying that you might not even begin to understand. Just pray for her.

i was the same way. from age 16-19 i always had the thought of killing myself. even after i graduated high school. i had to be homeschooled because i got epilepsy my senior year and was having seizures in school all the time. you can see how that totally helped (sarcasm)..but im almost 22 now. i live with my amazing fiance and since i moved out here, everything has been amazing. every day is a new adventure. high school sucks. but when you graduate, about 2 years after, you WILL be missing it. IPROMISE YOU. i always told myself that i'm so happy im free and no more waking up early. but then after the "haha u guys have school and i dont"s, its like "oh..i have to go out and do other things and start everything now..". treasure these moments and trust me. grades matter. the overall gpa. colleges look at that. going to a good college IS IMPORTANT. but go to one that will put you into a job once you graduate!!!! going to a good college then graduatig with tons of debt and no career is like wtf did i do all that for. but GET GOOD GRADES. iT IS IMPORTANT
