Can I use a metal key to get into my Fiesta?

So I want to go to the beach alone and be able to just tie my key to my wetsuit. But it's an electronic key. Is there some way I can use a metal one?

With some key fobs, at least with Toyota, there's a little lever on the side of the fob. When you release that, you can slide out a metal key. That's good for getting into the car (if say, your battery died). Then you keep the rest of the key fob hidden inside the car, and you should be good.

You might want to test that out at home first, rather than at the beach in nothing but your swim suit.
