how do you clean the OUTSIDE of an above ground swimming pool?
it's one that's just a frame with a liner, I've got the inside clean by using a brush and hose, but the exterior is quite a bit more dirty. I've tried using the same stiff bristled brush and water but it's not doing anything. I'm wondering what else I can use to get the exterior looking like it should

Use CLR on the outside of the pool to get the water scale deposits off the skirt walls.

is it mold?? if it is, (anything else should come off with soap and water and a scrub brush) spray it with a 50/50 mixture of bleach and water. let is set for a few minutes, then scrub!!
