Primer not working!?
Hi! :D
I'm rather new to makeup (particularly eye makeup) and I wear black eyeshadow as eyeliner (as it's more softer and I like it that way) and gold shadow on my inner corner and this taupe-y brown on the rest of my lid.
Anyhoot, I bought "Catrice Cosmetics: Prime and Fine" and I use at least half a finger nail on each eyelid and I put it on my crease too. But it doesn't work. :/ It still creases after an hour.
I think it's because it's mainly a face primer as it says "Smoothing refiner for invisible pores and lines" and it works on my pores. But a relative told me all primers are the same and it should work. But my eyeshadow still creases and my other eye shadow colours blend too after an hour into this dark brown. Nice but not what I'm after.
Is it the amount I'm using? The primer itself?
And if that primer doesn't work, are there any alternatives? I can't buy actual eye primer at the moment 'cause I don't have any money.
Thank you!

Not all primers are the same. Eye primers are specifically made for anti-creasing, whereas face primers are made to smooth and prolong the wear of your makeup. They aren't the same, and if your eyeshadow isn't creasing without the primer, stop using it.

I use Maybellines primer occasionally but it just doesn't work for me personally. I suggest moisturising your skin with lotion(meant for face only!) and then apply your make up. Also, I suggest getting a make up after spray to hold your make up in place.
