theres this old metal bar thing on the bath tub where a shower door used to be. Do I pry it off with a crow bar or what?

If there are no screw holes, it should just be held in place by silicone adhesive or some other mastic. Just try to pry it off, but even if you don't damage the tub, you may have a rough surface from the adhesive.

you should probably use a knife first to cut any adhesive that might be holding it on, you could pull part of the tile, or drywall off if you use a crowbar.
