Why are suicidal people usually stereotyped as depressed?

Someone might appear openly happy, but behind closed doors they may have deep problems, so anyone that appears happy that kills themselves has deep problems no one or few knew about. As for curiosity, who have you heard about that has taken that curiosity to a point where they want to experience it in real life? That is absent of those who have accidentally killed themselves through wanting to get very close to death, but not all the way. I think that that only leads to one conclusion. Depressed or maybe we can include troubled.

for every case to be considered a disability in front of the judge a person has to be depressed. So it's been dubbed that way by the psychiatry community that people are depressed. If they were depressed then they could not have gotten out of bed to see the psychiatrist. Suicidal people aren't stereotyped as depressed by the psychiatrists (since they usually don't seek SSD) but instead call themselves depressed. What's weird is that most depression merely means they're bored.

Because most people who commit suicide have links to depression.

I think it's because people think that they are so depressed that they don't want to go through the the 'pain' of living anymore.

Sure.... cause people wake up all the time and think "You know... it's a lovely day. I think I'll try death today. Might be fun!

People who are happy don't kill themselves and people who are merely curious are willing to wait until their natural death.
