a tap can fill a tank in 6 hours and an outlet empties in 7 hours if both are kept open how long will it take for the tank to be filled?

please give me the working and answer im stuck with this question

    In 1 hour 1/6 of the tank is filled and 1/7 empty. 1/6-1/7=7/42-6/42= 1/42 filled in 1 hour, 1x42 hours=42 hours and tank will be filled.

    1/6x-1/7x=1

    7/42x-6/42x=1

    1/42x=1

    x=42 hrs.
