Just got a new puppy , 8-month old teacup Maltese cup and I don't know what I am doing?
Our new baby does not eat but I understand that it's because he has not yet fully developed all of his teeth and we are giving him solid foods. We are taking him to have his first shot tomorrow and to give him a check up but I was hoping I could receive some helpful tips on how to raise and train it into a diligent pup. Please and thank you ( I am aware that my pup was separated from his mother before 12 months and am going to speak to the vet to see what we can do so it doesn't bring any complications)

I'm assuming you have a puppy who is 8 WEEKS? As such, he'll have all his puppy teeth, but not yet his adult set. However, he should be able to eat a good quality puppy food, and although you can moisten it before serving, and add a bit of tinned meat (I don't use the word wet because it's not) to the mix, by 8 weeks, if he's ready to go to a new home, he's ready to be eating properly, for his age
Secondly there is NO SUCH THING as a tea-cup anything. BYBs use this term to persuade the gullible that there is. Tiny puppies are usually runts and as such, may not live very long.
Thirdly, I'm assuming again that you are writing months, but mean weeks. Because puppies should have no problem being separated from their mothers by 12 MONTHS. Fact is all puppies should be away from their mothers pretty much by 6 weeks - all part of the weaning process. Once on solid food, by 6 weeks they should be able to survive without mum being around at all - not that they should be out in the world until at least 8 WEEKS. Part of being weaned is to be able to live independently, as individuals within a litter by 6 weeks, with the extra weeks allowing for interaction within the pack, and for the breeder to know each puppy is properly established in it's diet, and ready to move to the next stage of his life
By all means see your vet - take any medical history, including any worming, with what and when, with you so they know what's needed.
ps Your puppy may not eat up yet because he's in a strange place, and missing the competition around the food bowl from his litter mates. He should be on 4 meals a day, maybe only 3, but breakfast around 7 am, lunch around noon and the next meal by around 5 pm, with maybe a late evening small meal if needed. Also don't use hot water - if you do you'll destroy the vitamins etc. in a complete food. Warm water fine, but not hot.

So you have a "teacup Maltese cup?" "I don't know what I am doing."
Try using it for either coffee and/or tea. Do you need instructions on how to prepare coffee and/or tea?
What you have is a poorly bred, genetically deficient, sickly runt, which you should have taken along with a fresh fecal specimen within 48 hours of getting it to a vet.
The teeth should already be there, but perhaps because it was poorly bred in may have genetic malformations, which you should ask the vet about along with any other concerns you may have.
Then start feeding it properly: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e224/GLLNTKNIGHT...
Legally a pup can leave it mother/siblings by eight weeks. Preferably ten to twelve weeks. So that is not a problem in your case.
Should have done your research before getting the pup. Here's some basic care tips: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e224/GLLNTKNIGHT...
Good luck, you're going to need it.

He should have all his adult teeth through by 8 "months" old.
Are you sure you don`t mean 8 WEEKS old?
Try soaking his kibble in hot water (cool before feeding) until its soft and mix a little canned food in with it.
Its ok to get a pup at 8 weeks old. It does not need to be 12 weeks old.
Then pup should be fed 3-4 times daily, with water available at all times.

First off there is no such thing as a teacup dog of any breed.
And secondly, you don't have a clue as to the age of it,
Return it to the lousy BYBer you got it from and never get another animal.
That way no animal will have to suffer the abuse your family will inflict on it.
